Applied Net 2026 showed where agencies want AI to go next

AI was everywhere at Applied Net 2026. What stood out was how quickly agencies moved past capabilities and into business outcomes, execution, and what comes next.

At this year’s Applied Net, AI was everywhere, from product announcements and demos to conversations across the show floor.

For the Quandri team at booth 402, that meant a packed few days of demos, customer conversations, industry catch-ups, and more photos with Iron Man than we could count.

What stood out most, though, was how quickly the conversation moved beyond AI capabilities to platforms that can actually help do the work. Agencies were focused on what the technology could help them accomplish across the business by taking work off agents’ desks, from retention and revenue growth to more consistent service and more efficient book management.

The focus is shifting to execution

Agencies have seen enough AI to move beyond the concept. They want to understand how the work actually happens inside their operation:

  • When does it start?
  • What does the technology complete?
  • Where does an account manager step in?
  • What still requires their judgment?

That was where the demos became most useful. At Applied Net, we introduced AI Workflows, designed to run continuously so policy work can happen in the background.

Workflows are designed to start work when needed, execute tasks, and flag it to agents when their expertise is required. Quandri is applying that model across renewals, client servicing, revenue growth and cross-sell, and into commercial lines, beginning with a policy check-in.

Once people could see that model in action, the conversation quickly shifted to business outcomes.

The strongest conversations started with the business outcome

One of the most useful things we learned at Applied Net was that people responded differently depending on the workflow we showed them.

Revenue growth use cases created some of the most immediate reactions.

When we talked about account rounding, people quickly connected it to the opportunity sitting inside an agency’s existing client relationships. When we showed book rolling, they could immediately picture the operational work involved in moving a portfolio and what it would mean to approach that work differently.

Agencies already know what they want from their businesses. They want stronger retention, more valuable client relationships, better service, and more efficient ways to grow. Increasingly, they’re asking how AI can help them make progress against those priorities across the whole book.

Agencies are trying to make sense of a crowded market

A lot of AI companies are starting to sound the same. Automation, workflows, better service, and greater efficiency are becoming standard language across the market.

That makes specificity more important. Agencies want to understand what a platform can do today, how far it carries the work, where their team steps in, and how it fits into the way the agency already operates.

As more capabilities enter the market and more appear on future roadmaps, the companies building AI for insurance will have to distinguish themselves through execution, not terminology.

Agencies are looking beyond more point solutions

As agencies apply AI to more of the business, adding a separate tool for every workflow becomes harder to sustain.

Renewals, client servicing, account rounding, and book movement may be different processes, but they all touch the same book of business. Agencies need technology that can support those priorities together and move the work forward without employees having to manually connect each step.

They also need a partner that understands insurance deeply enough to help apply AI to the right work today and expand that model as the agency’s priorities evolve.

Applied Net reinforced where we’re taking Quandri next

‍

Applied Net is always one of our favourite opportunities to spend time with the insurance community, and this year brought a different level of energy.

The week was packed with demos, customer conversations, industry catch-ups, and strong opinions about where AI can create value next. The biggest takeaway was the level of ambition. Agencies are looking beyond individual features and thinking about how technology can help them grow, retain more business, and operate more effectively across the book.

That is also where we’re taking Quandri. AI Workflows are expanding into more areas of the agency, including client service, revenue growth, and our first commercial lines workflow, so agencies can apply the same model of continuous execution across more of their P&C operations.

And thanks to Iron Man, we have plenty of photos to remember the week by.
